About this flooring
What is it?
Subfloor preparation is everything we do before your finished floor goes down — levelling, screeding, plywood overlays, moisture testing and priming. A bad subfloor ruins a good floor; we sort the groundwork first.
What it's made of
Not a flooring type itself — it is the layers underneath: concrete screed, self-levelling compounds, plywood or OSB overlays, damp-proof membranes and primers. What we use depends on what is already there and what is going on top.
Why it's a good choice
Skipping prep is false economy. Bumps, dips and moisture show through LVT and vinyl. Doors catch, planks click, seams fail. We level it properly so the finished floor looks right and lasts.
